摘要

The dendritic derivatives of a highly symmetric perthiatriarylmethyl (PST) radical have been synthesized and exhibit high selectivity and sensitivity to the superoxide radical. In the picture, the PST radical is represented by Chang E, the goddess of the Moon. Dendritic encapsulation (the boundary of the Moon) protects PST from reacting with oxidoreductants (Houyi, the man). However, superoxide can penetrate the dendritic barrier and rapidly react with the PST moiety as the rabbit, Chang's pet, freely jumps into her arms across the boundary of the Moon. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Y. Song, Y. Liu, et al. on page 6958.
