Plasmon-Induced Enhancement of Infrared Detection Using a Carbon Nanotube Diode

摘要
In article number 1600865, Sheng Wang, Lian-Mao Peng, and co-workers demonstrate that plasmonic contact electrodes can significantly enhance the performance of carbon nanotube infrared detectors based on a barrier-free bipolar diodes. The use of an axe-like plasmonic electrode enables an enhancement from 1400 nm to 2100 nm and the best photocurrent enhancement of a plasmonic detector can be nearly 200 times larger than that without a plasmonic structure.
