摘要

An electrically assisted three-dimensional (3D) printing approach that biomimics the collagen fiber alignment in the human meniscus to create a reinforced artificial meniscus is developed by Qifa Zhou, Yong Chen, and co-workers, as described in article number 1605750. Circumferential and radial alignment of surface-modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT-S) is controlled by the electric field during printing. This printing technology enables bioinspired reinforced architectures to be designed.
