The next generation: This study investigates how polymer-surface-decorated mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) systems could be further developed as next-generation nanomedicine to treat colon cancer. The functionalized nanosystems were used as drug carriers of oxaliplatin (OXA; see scheme).
