Perovskite Solar Cells: Halogen Engineering for Operationally Stable Perovskite Solar Cells via Sequential Deposition

In article number 1902239 Qing Zhao and co‐workers devise a Br‐rich seeding growth method to fabricate high‐quality FAPbI3‐based perovskite films with high bromine content. Submicron‐sized crystalline perovskite seeds are embedded in PbI2 film during the first step in sequential deposition, just like farmers sow seeds in the ground during spring. The perovskite seeds act as a source of Br for the final film. In the Br‐rich seeding growth method, the perovskite seeds contain much more bromine (depicted as green balls with blue balls representing iodine), compared with a typical FAPbI3‐based perovskite composition.
