摘要

A solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) on lithium metal anodes improves the lifespan of lithium batteries. In their Research Article on page 3252, Q. Zhang and co‐authors propose a sustainable SEI that combines fluorinated co‐solvents with sustained release of additives. A combination of an intrinsically uniform SEI and the constant supplement of SEI building blocks provides a sustainable SEI. When tested in a pouch cell, a specific energy of 340 Wh kg−1 was achieved for 60 cycles.
