In article number 2100690, Ye and co-workers report the concentric assembly of cellulose nanocrystals utilizing the Marangoni effect, indicating a uniform Maltese cross optical pattern under linearly polarized light. The assembly and optical property can be readily tuned to “on/off” states by temperature. Combined with 3D printing, it emerges as a promising candidate for information security.
