摘要

Highly stretchable, conductive, washable, and solderable 3D helical fibers with superior mechanical and electrical properties for fabric-based wearable systems are prepared by Yingzhu Wu, Hanqing Jiang, and co-workers, as described in article number 1907495. The 3D helical shape of the fibers, which are based on a combination of elastic polyurethane (PU) and conductive Cu, results from the stress relaxation of the prestretched PU fiber and the plasticity of the Cu fiber, and provides a predictable way to manipulate the 3D fiber morphology.
