The detection of nanoscale objects is crucial in applications such as biomedical diagnostics and environmental monitoring. In article number 1800262, Qinghai Song, Yun-Feng Xiao, and co-workers present an on-chip dense waveguide sensor, which pushes the detection limit of single particles down to 100 nm in size and significantly decreases the sample consumption volumes.
