Spin Droplets

In article number 2300158, Jing Liu and co-workers report the phenomenon of liquid metal droplet spin on ice induced by a spontaneous dual solid-liquid phase transition, just like dancing on ice. The droplet motion is lubricated by a thin water film and driven by the escaping bubbles as the ice melts. Such spin effect is disclosed to be universal for different objects including liquid metal droplets and solid balls.
