Interlayer Energy Landscape
In article number 2301402, Junhui Sun and co-workers use the diverse prevailing definitions of electronic coupling to evaluate their rationality in motivating interlayer sliding energy landscape in layered materials. It is found that the evolution of charge redistribution in dynamic contact enables to quantify interlayer sliding energy landscape, different from the previous belief of nonuniform charge distribution, or the charge redistribution in the interface region.
