摘要

Fabrication of 2D amorphous nanosheets is a great challenge. In their Communication on page 1600  ff., Q. Xu and co-workers report a novel method to obtain amorphous molybdenum oxide (MoO3) nanosheets. Upon illumination, these MoO3 sheets exhibit tuned surface plasmon resonances in the visible and near-IR regions. The cartoon characters represent the CO2 molecules, which aid the formation of the amorphous nanosheets. The MoO3 can catch the light that is represented by light beams and light spots.
