摘要

Benefiting from the fast carrier mobility and highly abundant active sites of 1T-MoS2, preparing stabilized 1T-MoS2 has aroused great interest in the field of electrochemical water splitting. This Letter reports the spontaneous phase transition of MoS2 from the 2H to 1T phase triggered by iridium species based on the strong metal–support interaction, and demonstrates that the synergistic effect of Ir species and 1T-MoS2 is responsible for enhancing the catalytic performance of alkaline water splitting.
