In article number 2105962, Jia-Qi Huang and co-workers report the fabrication of a highly reversible working Li-metal anode by synergistically modulating the solid electrolyte interphase chemistry and Li nucleation. Combined techniques are employed to demystify the initial formation and evolution scenarios of the Li-metal interface, providing critical insights into the design guidelines of high-efficiency Li-metal batteries. A precisely designed interface enables highly reversible lithium deposition, analogous to the reliable shuttle of a spacecraft between the Earth and the moon.
