In article number 2300500, Minggao Ouyang, Qiang Zhang, and co-workers describe non-destructive lithium ion batteries participating in frequency regulation service through application of a bidirectional pulsed current with the appropriate parameters. Not only are the batteries not impaired, but the lithium-ion batteries scattered in the end devices are aggregated to provide services for the future electricity grid with high-penetration of renewable energy sources.
